Suite &stanze deluxe
Six suites and many spaces inspired by Pavese's work.
La Bella Estate (The Beautiful Summer), a large suite with private courtyard
The hero of the novel La Bella Estate is a hedonistic young woman whose gaze is both curious and impatient for life – a first experience that today we would define as LGBTQ. The plot of Pavese’s story inspires the furnishings and details of the suite, including the photographic paintings that portray feminine beauty and sensuality.
The suite has a private courtyard and large windows framing green hills of vineyards and meadows.
La Spiaggia (The Beach), a suite with a private terrace and a wonderful view.
From the terrace of the first floor suite the guest can enjoy an all- round view of the landscape and the surprising colours that, from dawn to dusk, bathe the hills. Warm and natural colours are also evident inside, in the wood, stone and metal materials.
The photographic paintings are inspired by the theme of sensuality and create an environment of harmonious dialogue between antiquity and contemporary design.
Il Diavolo sulle Colline (The Devil on the Hills), a suite for hedonists and lovers of beauty.
The Devil on the Hills is a hymn to hedonism and sensuality, where everything is considered to create a passionate stay, as occurs in the book from which the suite takes its name.
The monumental bathtub framed by bucolic frescoes, the historic cement tiles on the floor, the books in the chamber library and the photos of female nudes on the walls all invite the guests to immerge themselves in the surrounding beauty.
La Luna e i Falò (The Moon and the Bonfires), the warmth of the wood, the depth of the spaces.
The Moon and the Bonfires is a refined and harmoniously beautiful space. The guest can enjoy the warmth and scent of the ancient wood of the parquet and the natural colours on the walls. Austere portraits of Roman busts face the sensual enlarged portrait of a young female naked reader.
The guest’s gaze will be able to linger on the chamber library in the old leather trunk, or alternatively at the open spaces seen from the windows.
Paesi Tuoi (Your Towns), romantic and welcoming
A room on the first floor, with an entrance from the sitting room, decorated and furnished with a woman’s sensitivity in mind.
The pink coloured walls and the modern pettineuse (dressing table), together with the early 19th century bed and wardrobe, make the room particularly intimate, whilst the window attracts the gaze towards the sinuosity of the hills and the depth of the sky. In the anteroom a monumental mirror reflects the light and changes the perspective of the room.
Tra Donne Sole (Between Single Women), geometrics, mirrors and frescoes.
The guest of “Tra Donne Sole” is welcomed by an atmosphere of sober refinement, due to the geometry of the ancient cement tiles, the softness of the original frescoes on the ceilings and the natural material colours of the walls.
In the room there is also an original ceramic stove from the 19th century, upon which books have been specially selected for the guests of this room.
