See all the accomodationA unique place thanks to a careful conservative restoration.
The estate today shines with the beauty of the past and the atmosphere that characterised the noble farmhouses of the period. Ancient cement tiles, frescoed ceilings, paintings with natural pigments that result in ancient and different colours for each environment: reflecting a refined elegance of a bygone time, which lives again in a unique setting of beauty and harmony.
The mood at Vigne di Fagnano is both fluid and loose, typical of traditional artisanal craftsmanship and know-how. The same can be said about the rooms as each room is different and has its own “history” where none of the details and design are standardized. The furniture from the early 19th century is combines well with contemporary design pieces and B/W photographic paintings.
A place to get lost, through art, in a literary maze.
Vigne di Fagnano is a “Pavesian place”. Each room is named after a novel by Cesare Pavese and includes a chamber library. To understand the true meaning of the words and the novels, selected quotations are hand written on the walls by an artist, the calligrapher Massimo Polello. On this Estate, prose accompanies the guest on an emotional and “literary” journey.
A place made by people, for people.
